History
GAX Technologies S.A. is a Luxembourg company. Founded as "Godel Aska Sàrl" in 1993, it initially focused on financial markets consultancy and research. "The GAX Report", written by one of the founders since 1991, was published by the company on a regular basis until 1995.
Inspired by a project done for a client in New York in 1995-1996, the company started developing web sites and web applications in late 1995.
In July 1998, the company changed its name to "GAX Sàrl". By that time, the majority of the business was already Internet-related.
In March 2000, following a private placement of shares to outside investors and a capital increase to EUR 250,000, the company took the name of "GAX S.A." The company focused on IT development, specializing in Internet-related technologies.
In 2001, GAX Technologies launched its first product: the content management system GAX~thinX (version 2 followed in 2002). Also in 2001, GAX Technologies was one of the first two small businesses in Luxembourg to obtain co-financing from ESA, the European Space Agency, for its TV Snapshot project.
In 2004, GAX Technologies launched its ebanking.gax.com platform.
In July 2005, the Sikoba "simple knowledge base" was put online.
In May 2006, GAX SA changed its name to GAX Technologies SA.
