Java/JSP expertise
We prefer to program in "flavour-independent" Java to avoid commercial, third-party dependency. We also use the best-known open source APIs. For example, the Struts/Tiles framework, which has become the most popular open-source MVC framework, is used in most of our projects.
We have developed numerous Java applications for the web, using JSP for the front-end development . These applications are often, although not always, designed to be accessed via the Internet and can access a range of databases, such as Oracle or Mysql.
XML expertise
GAX Technologies' XML expertise covers all the main areas of XML development:
- XML data structuring
- XML validation using DTD or XSD files
- XML transformations using XSL (versions 1 and 2)
- XML document processing using various Java APIs (DOM, SAX)
In addition, GAX Technologies has acquired significant expertise in the area of XML databases.
SHAPE
GAX Technologies has also developed its own framework, called SHAPE, to automate web based data processing (form creation, presentation, validation, persistency) through the whole stack (from back to front ends). This allows us to speed up web interface developments, and enables us to significantly reduce the effort needed when data structures change.
