Licensing overview
The License Agreement for GAX~thinX is very similar to most license agreements for commercial software. The only clause that is not completely standard concerns the right to modify the source code, where such source code is provided. The key elements of the license are:
- A license is valid for one domain and one server, but for an unlimited number of users.
- Where source code is provided, it may be altered by the client at their own risk.
- GAX retains all ownership rights to the software, and the licensed software may not be resold or otherwise transferred to another party without GAX's consent.
- Technical support, upgrades and bug fixes are not provided as part of the license. They are typically covered by a maintenance contract.
