GAX~thinX is quick to implement and easy to adapt. Its modular design uses open standard, multiple platform technology and allows highly flexible workflow and data management.
GAX~thinX is accessed via a browser-based interface (Internet Explorer 5 or better or Netscape 6.2 or better) and features:
- define/modify data structures (metas)
- view/edit data
- administer users
- workflow
- APIs for dynamic or static HTML generation
This screenshot of the GAX~thinX interface shows an example of what an administrator might see while defining a data structure.
From a technical point of view, GAX~thinX is composed of a Java application server, communicating with an SQL database such as Oracle or MySQL, and a user interface written in Perl.
